How do I choose the right height?
Stand upright in ordinary shoes with arms relaxed at your sides. The top of the cane handle should reach the crease of your wrist. At 37½ inches (95 cm), this cane suits users approximately 5'5"–5'11" (165–180 cm) tall. For other heights, contact us — we can advise.
Is the handle really carved from solid wood?
Yes. Every handle is shaped and detailed by hand from solid beech wood — not resin, not plastic painted to look like wood. You will feel the grain under your fingers, the slight variations that come from a human hand rather than a mould. The weight of 1 lb 4 oz (580 g) is your first clue: solid wood has a presence that hollow substitutes cannot replicate.
Is the rubber tip replaceable?
Yes. The ferrule is a standard size and can be replaced at any chemist, mobility shop, or ordered directly from us when it wears. A well-maintained cane of this quality can last many years — the tip is simply the part that touches the ground most often.
Will this suit someone who has never used a cane before?
